Identifying a Reputable Peptide Supplier: 7-Point Checklist

The research peptide market is confusing and full of anonymous sellers. These seven characteristics are verifiable – and help distinguish reputable suppliers from questionable ones.

The checklist

• 1. Batch-specific Certificate of Analysis from a third-party laboratory. A separate Certificate of Analysis for each batch, with HPLC purity and LC-MS identity – not one generic document for everything. How to read it: Read and understand the COA.
• 2. Genuine, complete company details. A complete Impressum with a postal address. Anonymous shops without operator details are a warning sign.
• 3. Transparent RUO/Compliance stance. Clear "Research Use Only" labelling, an age gate and an honest Compliance page instead of hidden clues.
• 4. Clear product details. Quantity, form (lyophilised powder) and purity value are clearly stated for each product – no vague descriptions.
• 5. Complete legal texts. Achievable Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and Impressum – a sign of a genuinely run business.
• 6. Clean, secure payment. Encrypted payment and clearly named payment methods. Pressure to use unusual, untraceable payment methods is a warning sign.
• 7. Factual communication. Factual product descriptions without miracle promises, health or efficacy claims, and without artificial sales pressure.

Typical warning signs

• No Certificate of Analysis (COA) – or a COA without a batch reference or without a stated test method.
• No Legal Notice, no accessible legal texts, no way to make contact.
• Promises of healing or efficacy, fake reviews, artificial scarcity.
• Complete anonymity combined with aggressive sales pressure.
